# LosaDev Tools
Lost Saga modding tools that run in the browser: **https://tools.losadev.wiki**
Open a game folder, browse and edit `.iop` packs, preview models, animations, effects, maps, UI windows and textures, look up items, heroes, costumes and quests, and encode/decode server values. Game files never leave your PC: everything runs in your browser tab, and changed packs come back as downloads.

## Run it locally
Requirements: Node.js 20 or newer.
```bash
cd app
npm install
npm run dev # http://localhost:4700
```
`npm run build` writes the static site to `app/dist/`; `npm start` serves it with the small server in `app/server.mjs` (port and address in `app/.env`, see `app/.env.example` and `app/DEPLOY.md`).
The folder picker needs a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge) on HTTPS or `localhost`.
## Layout
| Path | What |
|---|---|
| `app/src/` | The app: game folder, worker with the pack reader (`src/worker/`), IOP Manager (`src/iop/`), Encode / Decode (`src/cipher/`), workbench layout (`src/legacy/workbench.*`) |
| `app/public/legacy/` | Tool views shared with the desktop LS Tools. **Generated**: change them through `app/tools/legacy-patches.mjs`, then `node tools/extract-legacy.mjs` |
| `app/tools/` | Build helpers (legacy extraction, handler generation) |
## Contributing
Pull requests are welcome and count toward your LosaDev tier: fixes, new file formats, better previews, UI work, tutorials. Read https://losadev.wiki/contribute/how-to/ first.
- One change per pull request, with a short description and how you tested it (which client year, which pack).
- Never commit game files, packs, or passwords of your own server. The built-in pack passwords are the defaults from the shared sources.
- Pull requests are reviewed and merged by the **Core** team.
